I'm a dynamic, busy working Mum, with 2 boys under 10 years old. As an A type personality I live my life on the go and multi-task - for example, eating breakfast while unloading the dishwasher!

I workout everyday so I'm fit and I ate "well" before I started the low carb plan with Aarti. My visceral fat was 7 (should be 4) and my body fat was 42% (should be less than 30%) despite these efforts.

From the DNA Fit test, I learnt I had a high sensitivity to carbohydrate. Aarti adjusted my carbohydrate intake and boosted my protein and good fats. She also coached me to incorporate mindful eating on a daily basis to help my digestion and reduce my acid reflux. Aarti miraculously persuaded me to include low intensity workouts to my schedule - even though I was reluctant because I was convinced I would not "burn enough calories" doing yoga. She explained this was important for me in order to support my over worked adrenal glands and cortisol levels due to my high-pressure career. She was right and I'm now hooked on weekly yoga lessons and epsom salt baths.

Honestly in just 4 weeks my body had transformed. I was actually in shock! My belly has seen the biggest change. Fasting days are a breeze - initially it was hard but Aarti's expert tips and coaching have been a game changer.

My main goal was to lose weight and reduce my heart disease risk as I have high cholesterol. I also wanted to boost my immunity due to Covid. My aim was to lose 12kg in 12 months but with Aarti’s help I have achieved my target in 10 months.

I had to make many adjustments to my diet – portion sizes, eat more salads and vegetables – thankfully I’ve grown to enjoy eating so many plants at mealtimes! My eager children found Aarti online as I needed help with diet and lifestyle changes - I wasn't listening to them. I was hesitant to change my diet as I was worried that being healthy would deprive me of the tasty and delicious Indian foods I love - especially marcha and ghatia (fried chillis and gram flour snacks) on a Sunday.

Aarti is very balanced and pragmatic. She explained the science behind Nutrition in a simple and compelling way. I made the connection that my health problems are triggered by my diet and lack of physical activity and the penny dropped. Eating differently made sense to me and every week I could feel the difference.

I didn't keep any temptation such as nasto in the house and it helped me immensely as I get very tempted. I would eat 1 kg of ghatia every month and I loved having a piece of kaju katli (Indian sweets) with dinner everyday.

Aarti creates healthy shopping lists and gave me delicious alternatives to my favourite foods - cauliflower rice, tasty salads, low carb naan, healthy mithai. She even converted me to eating tofu which I always found very bland. Best of all I am no longer diabetic and my doctor asks me for tips!
